Inter Allies continued to slide in the Ghana Premier League after a 1-0 home defeat to Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Eleven Is To One were dealt a blow by a Matthew Cudjoe early goal to leave them in the relegation zone.

The first attempt came to Allies as early as the second minute and it was Nafiu Sulemana who shot but it was too easy for goalkeeper Winfred Hornu to save.

Two minutes later, Sulemana tried again with another attempt but it went over the bar.

As early as the 12th minute, Legon Cities hit back and got the go-ahead goal through Matthew Cudjoe.

The Ghana youth international was in front of goal with an easy tap in.

Allies, playing as the home team, made attempts to level things up and in the 27th minute there was a quick play between Felix Abuska and Michael Gyamerah.

The latter released Richard Acquaah on the flank but his cross found nobody in the box.

After 41 minutes, Desmond Abuga tried his luck from distance and it was saved before  Abuska sent a long one in but Emmanuel Adjetey failed to connect.

Five minutes into the second half, Legon Cities made a strong start and nearly doubled their lead and Baba Anaya saw his effort was off target.

Allies lacked ideas and so Acquaah tried his luck from long range which went wide.

Taufiq Shaibu came close with the equalizer but his header was inches wide but minutes later Isah Ali saved Allies from conceding the second goal with a timely clearance.

Ali picked up an injury in the process.

Allies went on a break with Ali and he found Sulemana who set up Taufiq Shaibu but his shot went straight to the goalkeeper.

Six minutes from time, Desmond Abuga took a free-kick but it went wide.
