Published on: 14 February 2021

Ebusua Dwarfs saw their four-match unbeaten run come to an end as they suffered a second home defeat in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Crabs suffered a 2-1 loss to Karela United FC at the Cape Coast Stadium.

It's a first away victory for visitors who redeemed themselves from their home defeat to Asante Kotoko last weekend.

Dwarfs gaffer Ernest Thompson Quartey made no changes to the squad that beat Inter Allies FC 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium last week.

Ellia Kofi Junior who was substituted in the first half of the game against Allies recovered for a starting berth.

Karela had three changes to their squad that suffered a 2-0 loss to Asante Kotoko at the CAM Park last weekend.

Sadiq Alhassan and Umar Basiru who were suspended from last week's game came back into the starting for Karela taking the places of Nurudeen Abdulai and Franklin Osei.

Basiru netted the opener for the visitors in the 23rd minute after connecting a pass from Diawisie Taylor.

Taylor extended the lead in the 45th minute with a beautiful finish.

Benjamin Acquah pulled one back for Dwarfs with seven minutes to end proceedings.
