2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 17 Match Report- King Faisal 1-0 Liberty Professionals

Kwame Peprah’s strike in the 36th minute ensured King Faisal returned to winning ways following a 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in this matchday 17 fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

King Faisal coach handed a start to Paul Aidoo and Atta Kusi who recently joined the club in the ongoing transfer window.

Liberty Professionals had the chance to break the deadlock in the 19th minute but Prosper Ahiabu was late to Simon Appiah’s cross.

The Insha Allah boys nearly punished Liberty Professionals,  but goalkeeper Kofi Baah came up with a spectacular stop to deny King Faisal the lead.

King Faisal were awarded a penalty in the 35th minute by the referee.

Their talisman Kwame Peprah expertly converted the kick to see the home side take the lead in the 36th minute.

King Faisal head into the break leading the tie by a lone goal.

Kwame Peprah scored his second goal of the afternoon but was disallowed by the referee after consultation with the assistant referee after it was adjudged to have been a foul in favor of the away side.

King Faisal has moved above Liberty Professionals to the 15th position after this win with 17 points.

Liberty Professionals maintain their 16th position  on the league table with 15 points.
