2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 2 Match Preview – Dreams FC vs Medeama SC

Published on: 21 November 2020

Dreams FC will be seeking their first win of the season when they host giants Medeama SC at the Dawu Park on Sunday on matchday two of the Ghana Premier League.

The Still Believe lads started the 2020/21 campaign with a goalless draw in Accra against Inter Allies, despite fielding one of the best forwards in the country Joseph Esso, who joined from Hearts of Oak in the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Medeama SC struggled at home against Great Olympics after playing a 1-1 draw at the Akoon Park.

The Mauve and Yellows will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing match day one performance against Olympics with the aim of securing all three points in Dawu.

However, their record against Dreams at the 'theater of dreams' isn't the best as they chase their first ever win at the dreaded Park.

Dreams FC has the best home record against Medeama with a 1 win and a draw out of the two home games. The biggest aggregate in their clash is a 2-2 draw in Dawu in 2016.

The two teams have met four times in the Ghana Premier League, recording 2 draws and a win for each team.

Medeama SC are yet to find replacement for last season's top scorer Prince Opoku Agyemang and super sub Nana Kofi Babil despite the return of former striker Abass Mohammed.

Meanwhile, Dreams will be hoping Joseph Esso and Abel Manomey find their scoring boots in tomorrow's game.

Prediction: Dreams 1-1 Medeama SC
