2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 23 Match Preview- Karela United v Bechem United

Published on: 07 May 2021

Karela United will be hoping to secure their first win of the second round when they host Bechem United on matchday 23 at the Crosby Awuah Park on Sunday.

The Anyinase based club has dropped from the summit to the sixth position following struggles since the resumption of the second round.

Karela have lost two and drawn three games including a 1-1 stalemate last week against relegation-threatened King Faisal.

Meanwhile, Bechem United have won three and lost only two games in the second round, including a thumping 4-0 victory over Aduana Stars.

Last week the Hunters proved too strong for Inter Allies, beating them 2-1 at the Nana Gyeabuor.

Top-scorer Diawisie Taylor has been on a six-game drought, with the supplies limited from Umar Bashiru and strikes partner Kwame Boateng.

The pair of Boateng and Taylor are expected to rediscover their form to arrest the club's recent slump.

But Bechem United have a potent forward in Hafiz Konkoni who could prove a menace to the defence of Karela.

Bechem United have not had the best of results on the road, having conceded ten goals on the road in the games between them and Hearts and Kotoko.

Prediction: Karela United 2-1 Bechem United
