Published on: 23 May 2021

Elmina Sharks will be hoping to recover from their 2-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak last week when the hosts King Faisal at the Paa Kwesi Ndoum Park.

The Elmina Boys were on the wrong side of refereeing decisions as they lost to Hearts of Oak, playing the entire second half with a man down.

Isaac Donkor will miss the match against King Faisal after seeing red against the Phobians.

However, they will be looking at picking the first win in six games after a run of poor results in recent times, which has seen them win only once, and lost three times in their last five games.

Despite sitting 12th on the table, only four points separates them from their opponents, King Faisal, who are rooted in relegation place.

Coach Nii Odartey Lamptey will count on experienced attacker Benjamin Boateng and goalkeeper Bawa Martey to lead his side to victory.

Meanwhile, King Faisal who are struggling for survival, having also won just a game in their last five matches, and will provide Sharks with stiff competition.

King Faisal's last win was on the road against Inter Allies, the bottom placed team.

Goalkeeper Dan Lad Ibrahim and experienced players Eric Donkor and Seidu Salifu are working hard to help Alhaji Grusah's team stay up.

But the ask will be huge for them today especially with Elmina Sharks having a good home record.

A win away from home will boost King Faisal's chances but Elmina Sharks are also bent on pulling away from the danger zone.

Prediction: Elmina Sharks 2-0 King Faisal
