2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 3 Match Preview- Ebusua Dwarfs vs Berekum Chelsea

Published on: 26 November 2020

Berekum Chelsea travels to Cape Coast to play Ebusua Dwarfs on matchday three of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Both sides are in search of a first win this season but it is Chelsea that will be heading into the game with the best of records this season, having drawn their games against Legon Cities and Asante Kotoko.

Ebusua Dwarfs drew their opening day game against Elmina Sharks before falling to a defeat in Techiman against Eleven Wonders.

Chelsea will be buoyed by their impressive performance against Asante Kotoko after snatching a late equalizer, but the Blues will for the first since 2011 travel without resigned disgruntled CEO Oduro Sarfo.

Oduro Sarfo resigned as CEO of the club following comments made in an interview- where he stated he prefers watching Nigerian movies over the Premier League when asked about the poor nature of the pitch in Berekum. The club distanced themselves from his comments.

Ebusua Dwarfs coach Ernest Thompson is in hot waters after he was summoned by the FA over his utterances against the referee Joshua Samadji in the aftermath of their defeat to Eleven Wonders.

The two sides have identical records against each other ahead of Sunday's game, with both recording 5 wins apiece and three draws.

But Chelsea have won in the last two clashes between the two teams in the Ghana Premier League.

Ebusua Dwarfs will be hoping midfielders Mark Acquah and Simon Martey alongside defender Albert Gaisie will return from injury to feature on Sunday.

Prediction: Dwarfs 1-1 Chelsea
