2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 5 Match Report - Aduana Stars 1-1 Eleven Wonders

Published on: 13 December 2020

Aduana Stars needed a second-half goal by Yahaya Mohammed to salvage a point at home against Techiman Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The striker's second goal of the season cancelled out Samuel Boakye’s early goal for Eleven Wonders as the game finished 1-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu II stadium.

Aduana came into the game in search of their first win of the season, having failed in three attempts.

But they fell behind in the first eight minutes as a result of a poor start. Boakye was at the right place and made no mistake as he gave the away side the lead.

Aduana took control of the game after conceding but had to wait until the 72nd minute when Yahaya scored the equaliser.

Buoyed by the goal, Aduana pushed men forward for the winning goal but Wonders were resolute at the back to take home a point.

The draw means Aduana, title favourites, have picked up just three points out of a possible 12 and in the relegation zone.

While Eleven Wonders are in the top half of the table with six points.
