Great Olympics star Maxwell Abbey Quaye became the first player to score a hat-trick in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on Sunday, 7 November 2021 as the capital club beat Accra Lions 3-1 at home.
The Ghana international striker opened the scoring with a worldie during his side's week 2 fixture against debutants Accra Lions FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He curled in a long range effort from the edge of the box into the top corner in the 21st minute.
Quaye gave the Wonder Club the lead again in the 64th minute when he profited from a goalkeeping error to make score.
Accra Lions had equalized in the second half through captain Richmond Tetteh Ankrah.
His third goal was from the spot after he was whacked down inside the box.
