2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 10: Match Report – Bechem United 1-0 King Faisal

Published on: 26 December 2021

Bechem United pipped King Faisal 1-0 to make it five successive wins at home in the Ghana Premier League this season.

Stephen Badu scored the decisive goal via the penalty spot two minutes to halftime and the home side held on for three points.

King Faisal fought hard but were unable to take anything out of the game.

This is King Faisal's first defeat in over a month, but fortunately for them, they remain top of the table as Aduana Stars also lost.

They are, however, level on points with new second-placed Asante Kotoko who have one outstanding game.

Bechem United are back in the top four and this time they would hope to stay longer.

The home side knew they were slight favourites having won all previous home games and they proved strong for the leaders.

They dominated proceedings from the onset and they were rewarded minutes to halftime when they won a penalty.

Badu kept his composure to score what turned out to be the winner for the Hunters.
