2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Week 12 Match Preview - Bibiani Gold Stars vs. Hearts of Oak

Published on: 07 January 2022

Bibiani Gold Stars FC will be stern test on Saturday afternoon at the Dun's Park when they welcome giants Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League matchday 12 fixture.

It been good fortunes in Bibiani for Gold Stars since tasting a 1-0 defeat at home to Asante Kotoko SC in matchday three this campaign.

Gold Stars have won all of their last three home matches in the premiership ever since scoring six times and conceding just once in the process.

The last home game saw the Miners score more than two goals for the first time this season having beaten Karela United FC 3-1 in the end.

This sort of home form gives Michael Osei and his men enough confidence to go all out for a victory against the Phobians on Saturday.

Gold Stars will go into this encounter looking for a rebound after losing 2-1 to King Faisal Babes last time.

Osei will be having a full house ready for the Hearts test as Yahaya Adramani is expected to be fit after picking a last minute injury to miss last week's game.

Hearts are travelling to Bibiani to face Gold Stars to continue their resurgency as they try to forget their dismal start and also the embarrassing African campaign.

The Phobians are currently on a five-match undefeated run where they have three wins and two draws and keeping four clean sheets.

With two games still in hand, Hearts will be able to close the gap between them and fiercest rivals Kotoko to 6 points with a win against Gold Stars this Saturday.

The last time Hearts visited the Dun's Park they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the 2012 FA Cup but would want to change the script this time on Saturday.

The Phobians will still be without first choice goalkeeper Richard Attah who is away with the national team at the Africa Cup of Nations.

His replacement Richmond Ayi sustained a first half injury and couldn't finish the last match against Bechem United but he is expected to be fit to travel with the team.

Congo international Raddy Ovouka has been loaned to American side New Mexico FC and that rules him out of this fixture.
