Emmanuel Boakye Owusu struck late as Karela United earned a point agaisnt Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The midfielder scored in the 87th minute to deny Olympics three points as an absorbing match ended 1-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Raymond Oko Grippman scored to break the deadlock in the 67th minute after a goalless first half.

Olympics would have moved up to fifth had they held on to secure victory with coach Annor Walker not hiding his disappointment after the game.

The point is the second earned by Karela away from home in the top-flight this season.

Karela remain a place outside the top half of the league table after 12 games.
