Berekum Chelsea want to continue their fine form when they host Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday in their second round opener.
The former champions ended the first half of the season on a four-match unbeaten run including the 1-0 win at Dreams FC.
Chelsea are gradually regaining their form with the likes of Edwin Kuffour, Henry Ansu and Kofi Owusu strengthening them.
This will be a second consecutive home match for the Blues after drawing 1-1 with Bechem United to close out the first round.
But they cannot be overly confident about their chances after a shock 1-0 defeat to RTU at the Golden City Park in December.
Gold Stars will be buoyed by their last match on the road when they put up a brave fight to earn a 2-2 draw at AshantiGold.
Michael Osei's boys are without an away win but the presence of experienced striker Prince Opoku Agyemang and former Eleven Wonders midfielder Frank Amankwah should make them a dangerous side now.
