2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 2: Match Preview – WAFA vs Hearts of Oak
WAFA

It is must win game for both sides when WAFA host defending champions Hearts of Oak on Friday afternoon in Sogakope.

The Academy Boys are back to their comfort zone and expected to make life difficult for the Phobians who have never won on the artificial turf.

WAFA were handed a 1-0 defeat at King Faisal on Sunday despite playing some good football and maybe could attribute their downfall to the red card shown Marvin Owusu just minutes into the second half.

Also, they had new coach Guille in the stands because of delays in his paperwork.

The Spaniard is yet to receive his work permit and it's unsure if it will be finalized before their second league encounter.

Hearts of Oak were left frustrated after dominating possession but failing to find the back of the net in the 0-0 draw with Legon Cities at home.

After the match, head coach Samuel Boadu said: ''We had a problem with our attacking side because we created a lot of chances and we should have scored at least one goal but we squandered all the chances. We still have more time to work on them

''This is the time to sit down and analyze the situation where the problem is and solve it.''
