Bechem United kept their Ghana Premier League title ambitions must alive on Monday when they pipped Great Olympics at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The Hunters recorded a 1-0 vital victory to ensure their home invincibility this campaign remains intact and kept the chase on the premiership's ultimate price.

Bechem boss Kassim Mingle Ocansey made only one change to his team that earned a point against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams in the midweek.

Abdul Latif Anabila who is serving a suspension for accumulation of yellow cards paved way for Paul Kwei Jnr. in the starting lineup.

Olympics trainer Annor Walker made about five changes to the team that drew 2-2 with WAFA SC at the Accra Sports Stadium last Wednesday.

First choice goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku was replaced with Seidu Sumaila between the sticks while Jamaldeen Haruna's place was taken by Raymond Oko Grippman.

Razak Kassim, Liberian import Vanney Boakai and George Asamoah were all replaced in the starting lineup with Amos Acheampong, Samuel Armah and Iddrisu Murad respectively.

Augustine Okrah scored the only goal of the game and match winner after just 12 minutes with a fine finish inside box after being set up by Kwei Jnr.

Okrah received a pass from Kwei Jnr. on his weaker foot but his shot from close range couldn't be saved by goalkeeper Sumaila.

Okrah's 8th goal of the season was enough for the Hunters who close in on league leaders Asante Kotoko SC, trailing by eight points.

Both teams tried to create openings and scoring opportunities in the second half but they failed to find the back of the net.

Bechem move to the second place with 41 points from 23 matches whereas Olympics maintained their 4th position despite the defeat.
