2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 23: Match Report Real Tamale United 3-2 Berekum Chelsea

Published on: 04 April 2022

Real Tamale United returned to winning ways on Monday afternoon, defeating Berekum Chelsea in a five-goal thriller.

Due to the ban on Aliu Mahama Stadium due to hooliganism, RTU were forced to hold the game at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

After 24 minutes, RTU took the lead thanks to forward Issah Kuka, as a reward for being slightly superior.

Chelsea rallied four minutes later with an equalizer by Henry Ainsu.

RTU regained the lead a minute after the halfway break. They were given a penalty, which Mohammed Sadat converted.

Berekum Chelsea also netted a penalty before the RTU's 94th-minute winner from Baba Kushibo.

RTU's nine-game winless streak has come to an end as a result of this result.

Meanwhile, this is Berekum Chelsea's first defeat in 11 games.
