Eleven Wonders have climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to a late win over Hearts of Oak on Wednesday at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.

Moro Sumaila scored in the 96th minute to give Wonders three points and boost their survival chances in front of their fans.

The game, which was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, was postponed due to a swine-flu outbreak in the Hearts of Oak camp.

Hearts of Oak had the better start of the two teams, scoring in the 12th minute through Kojo Obeng Junior.

Wonders tied the game 1-1 before halftime thanks to Mohamed Nortey Tetteh's goal.

Wonders pushed for the winner after the break and were rewarded in extra time when Sumaila scored to send the fans into a frenzy.

With two games remaining, Wonders are now in 15th place, two points ahead of Real Tamale United who have dropped to the relegation zone.
