2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Week 32 Match Preview- Accra Lions vs Berekum Chelsea

Published on: 04 June 2022

Accra Lions head into matchday 32 of the Ghana Premier League as the in-form team from the month of May, having won two and drawn two in their last four matches to steer them away from the drop.

They hosts Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, June 4, hoping to seal their place in the Ghana Premier League for another season.

A win or drawn could potentially keep them in the topflight for another first tier experience.

Meanwhile, they come up against former winners of the competition and a very experienced side in the Ghanaian top division.

Berekum Chelsea currently sit fifth on the table and are unbeaten in their last three matches, which included victory in Kumasi against champions-elect Asante Kotoko.

The Blues defeated Lions in the first leg at the Golden City Park convincingly but the newcomers have since been a transformed side.

Accra Lions will miss midfielder Abass Samari, who is on international duty with the Black Satellites in France.

The host have a good run of form playing at the Accra Sports stadium, having lost to only Hearts of Oak at home in the second round.
