2021 AFCON Qualifers: Ghana coach Akonnor names Black Stars squad to face Sudan

Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has named his 23- man squad ahead of the double header against Sudan in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Akonnor kept faith with most of the players that started the qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé in his line-up ahead of the game.

Akonnor also named four debutants,  Richard Attah (Hearts of Oak), Tarique Fosu, Kwadwo Amoako (AshantiGold), Eugene Ansah in his squad for the double header.

Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Yahaya Mohammed  are also returning to the squad  after a long absence.

The game comes off on 27 March at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and the return leg to played in Omdurman in three days time.

Black Stars squad for AFCON 2021 qualifiers against Sudan are

Goalkeepers: Richard Ofori(Maritzburg), Razark Abalorah(Azam) Richard Attah(Hearts of Oak)

Defenders: Kwadwo Amoako(AshantiGold), Andy Yiadom(Reading), Gideon  Mensah(Waregem) , Nicholas Opoku(Amiens), Joseph Aidoo(Celta Vigo), Kasim Nuhu (Düsseldorf) and Habib Mohammed(Asante Kotoko)

Midfielders: Mubarak Wakaso (Jiangsu), Alfred Duncan(Fiorentina) , Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid) Kudus Mohammed (Nordsjaelland).  Iddrisu Baba(Mallorca) Andre Ayew (Swansea)

Forwards: Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Richmond Boakye- Yiadom(Crvena zvezda), Eugene Ansah (Hapoel Ra’anna), Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars)
