2021 Africa Cup of Nations: Black Stars leave Yaoundé for Garoua for final group game

Published on: 16 January 2022

The Black Stars of Ghana left Yaoundé on Sunday for Garoua ahead of their final group C game against Comoros Island on Tuesday.

The four times African champions leave for Garoua via a flight as the team plans to arrive on time and prepare for the crucial game against the debutants.

Ghana needs a win to stand a chance of progressing to the last 16 after a defeat and a draw in their first two matches in Cameroon.

Ghana will be without forward Benjamin Tetteh, who has been banned for three games for his role in the melee that happened in the 1-1 draw against Gabon.

Coach Milovan Rajevac will rely on forwards Jordan Ayew and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom to deliver the goods for the Black Stars.

The West African powerhouse are chasing a fifth AFCON title after last winning the tournament in 1982.
