2021 Africa Cup of Nations: Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac positive ahead of Morocco clash

Published on: 10 January 2022

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is confident of a successful Africa Cup of Nations ahead of the Black Stars' opening game against Morocco.

The Serbian trainer admitted the Black Stars picked some positives from the pre-AFCON friendly defeat to Algeria and that has prepared his team for Morocco.

The four times African champions will face the Atlas Lion on Monday afternoon.

"The situation with players having to stay at their clubs totally affected our game preparations and we were suppose to play two matches before the Algeria match but had to be cancelled because we didn't have enough players," he said at the pre-match presser.

"Even many players arrived a day or two before the game, and these circumstances affected us but we got what we wanted and we are feeling confident and we know what we can do and we are very positive about the next match," he added.

The Black Stars are in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros Island.
