Dominic Amponsah scored late as Accra Lions travelled to the CAM Park to beat Karela United 2-1 on matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
Midfielder Abass Samari's eight goal of the season gave the visitors the lead before Samuel Atta Kusi pulled parity at the stroke of half time.
Having gone on a run of three games without a win, the Accra-based club got off to a great start and felt comfortable playing on the astro-turf.
Samari, who had scored in the last two games for Lions, broke the deadlock with a screamer after 19 minutes, having already come close earlier.
Buoyed by the lead, Lions kept their composure and were by far the best in the first half.
However, just at the stroke of half time, Atta Kusi levelled for the hosts after a momentary lapse of concentration.
After the break, Lions coach James Francis handed Dominic Amponsah his debut after withdrawing forward Seidu Bassit.
Amponsah repaid the coach by netting the winner with two minutes remaining as Accra Lions returned to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League.
