FIFA has released the list of referees selected to officiate games at the World Cup in Qatar this year.

Eight referees from Africa made the list excluding any Ghanaian official as the tournament is set to kick off from November 21.

The top six referees from Africa have been selected to take part in the 64 games that will be played at the tournament.

In a list released on Thursday, Senegal referee Ndiaye Maguette who officiated Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa has been included, with 36 referees, 69 assistant referees and 24 video match officials.
