The teams for 2022 World Cup African qualifiers play-offs have been confirmed with Ghana among the best 10.

The list was confirmed on Tuesday two days after Ghana booked their spot albeit controversially at the expense of South Africa.

FIFA are investigating the penalty awarded to Ghana following a complaint by South Africa.

While investigations are ongoing, Ghana are preparing for their likely opponents in the play-offs scheduled for March.

The draw will be conducted in December but already the seeded teams have been identified per the latest FIFA ranking.

Ghana are not seeded along with Egypt, Cameroon, Mali, and DR Congo. This simply means Ghana will avoid seven-time African champions and Indomitable Lions who have been at the World Cup seven times.

It was Egypt that prevented Ghana from taking part in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Meanwhile, a tough opponent is on the cards for Ghana with Morocco, Nigeria, Tunisia and Senegal being the five seeded teams. Ghana can be drawn against any of them.
