Tunisia have provided the blueprint on how Ghana can topple rivals Nigeria in March's 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs tie.

This was after the Carthage Eagles manufactured a 1-0 win on Sunday, 23 January, during their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 clash.

The Black Stars were written off after an ignominious 3-2 final Group match defeat to Comoros sent them out of the tournament in Cameroon.

Nigeria progressed from the first round of the tournament with a 100% winning recored after successes over Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.

They were considered huge favourites for the title but on Sunday, Augustine Eguavoen's side were ejected after losing to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

With the 2022 World Cup playoffs scheduled between 23-29 March, Ghana will now be fancying their chances.

The winner of the two-legged tie will qualify to Qatar.
