Accra Lions goalkeeper Andrews Owusu has been named Goalkeeper of the Month for April in the Ghana Premier League.
This has been announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, May 20.
He is expected to receive a set of gloves and a customised shirt as his prize.
“Accra Lions shot-stopper Andrews Owusu has won the Ghana Premier League Goalkeepers of the Month for April 2024.
“After an outstanding effort that saw his team finish the month with three victories, three draws, one loss, and three clean sheets while conceding three goals in five league games in April, Andrews Owusu emerged as the winner of the award.
“He will receive a set of gloves and a customized shirt from the retired National Goalkeepers Association of Ghana,” parts of the GFA statement said.
Andrews Owusu won the goalkeeper of the month award for April after beating the likes of Ernest Kussi of Bibiani Gold Stars, Kofi Baah of FC Samartex 1996, and Kpando Heart of Lions Lawrence Kyei.
