Defending champions Medeama SC were made to work hard for their 1-0 win over an impressive basement club Real Tamale United in Tarkwa on Sunday to move back into the top-four with four matches to end the season.

Diawise Taylor's 38th minute penalty separated the two teams at the Akoon Community park.

The home side spurned several chances as the visitors gave a good account of themselves in the mining town.

The Mauve and Yellow are back in the top-four after the solitary win - leaving them on 46 points with four matches to end the season.

Medeama coach Kapor Nebjosa knows there is lot of work to be done after the side failed to defend the Premier League crown.

Theophilus Anobah climbed off the bench for the first time in more than a month to play a bit-part role in the narrow win.

Real Tamale United, who are almost set to be relegated, gave a good account of themselves at the Akoon Community park.
