Berry Ladies displayed their dominance on Matchday two of the 2023/24 Women’s Premier League by securing a convincing 3-1 victory against Sea Lions.
Fakiha Alhassan set the pace for Berry Ladies with an impressive finish just two minutes into the game.
Sea Lions emerged from halftime with renewed vigor, and their persistence paid off when they were awarded a penalty. Hannah Donkor calmly converted the spot-kick, leveling the score at 1-1 in the 49th minute.
However, Berry Ladies quickly regained control of the game. Elizabeth Adjoa Boateng doubled their lead in the 51st minute, leaving Sea Lions struggling to keep up.
Janet Korkor Osei sealed the victory for Berry Ladies with her first goal of the day in the 77th minute, ensuring a final score of 3-1.
Meanwhile, at Ajumako, Victoria Williams Teye's early strike in the 5th minute proved decisive as Police Ladies secured a 1-0 victory over Soccer Intellectuals at Aduyaw Assasan Park.
Despite early pressure from Police Ladies, the defense of Intellectuals held firm, preventing further goals and resulting in a final score of 1-0 in favor of Police Ladies.
