Berekum Chelsea forward Stephen Amankona is favourite to win the goal king award at the end of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The 25-year-old attacker is currently leading the goal king chart with 13 goals after matchday 31.
He, however, has a lot of work to do to finish the campaign with the enviable award.
With his 13 goals, Stephen Amankona is closely trailed by Nations FC forward Faisal Charwetey and Nana Kwame Oppong of Heart of Lions. Both players are on 11 goals, just two behind the Berekum Chelsea attacker.
Gold Stars’ Samuel Atta Kumi and Kwame Opoku of Asante Kotoko are both on nine goals and cannot be ruled out of the goal king race either.
With three matches left to play in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign, any of the top five players can make a run for the top scorer award.
Meanwhile, the race for the Ghana Premier League title is also set to go down to the last day of the season.
Nations FC lead the log with 57 points, followed by Gold Stars in second with 56 points.
Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko are on 54 points respectively and could defy the odds to emerge as Champions at the end of the season.
