FC Samartex were held to a 1-1 draw by Dreams FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
The defending champions were denied a return to winning ways at home by the visitors after Alhassan Mankuyeli’s goal was cancelled by Joseph Esso for the visitors.
Mankuyeli broke the deadlock just three minutes into the second half but Esso netted the equalizer on 70 minutes to snatch a point for The Still Believe.
The Timber are now winless in their last five home matches with their title defense hanging in the balance.
They sit in 10th position with 23 points, 11 adrift current leaders, Asante Kotoko.
Despite the point, Dreams return to the relegation zone and will host Basake Holy Stars for their next match.
Samartex will travel to Bibiani Gold Stars for their next league game.
