The head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has assured Ghanaians that his side will surely qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Ghana national team after playing three games in the qualifiers only has two points having drawn two and lost one.
Speaking to journalists ahead of Ghana’s Round 4 meeting with Sudan, Coach Otto Addo admitted that the qualification campaign has become tough.
He is, however, confident that the Black Stars can beat Sudan next week to improve their chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON.
“Look, this assurance that everybody's talking about, why? For what? This is football. I cannot even assure, maybe God will take me tomorrow and I'm dead. What can I assure? We will try our best. And I know that at the end we'll be rewarded. And the positive thing is, what I want to tell you, all of you, it's still in our own hands. We have to win the next game, that's all. And then still, we are not qualified yet. Then it's still a long way. It's going to be very, very tough to the last match, I think. But we will do it,” coach Otto Addo said.
The second leg meeting between Sudan and Ghana will be played in Libya on Tuesday, October 15.
Coach Otto Addo is confident that the Black Stars have everything to secure victory.
