2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: Madagascar beat Chad 3-0 after defeat to Ghana

Madagascar defeated Chad 3-0 on Monday evening to record their first victory in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Madagascar national team nicknamed the Barea played Ghana last Friday in the first game of the qualifiers for the next mundial.

In a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Black Stars striker Inaki Williams scored late to give Ghana a narrow win to break the hearts of the Madagascans.

Today, Madagascar had the chance to turn things around when the side locked horns with Chad.

In the second Group I game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Barea came to the party and scored three times to get back to winning ways.

Attacker Njiva Rakotoharimalala bagged a brace for Madagascar after scoring in the 10th and 84th minutes respectively.

Late in the 90th minute, Loic Lapoussin equalised to seal a 3-0 win for Madagascar to condemn Chad to the home defeat.
