Ghana assistant coach Desmond Offei has expressed optimism about the Black Stars securing qualification to the 2026 World Cup tournament to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The West African powerhouse are currently tied on nine points at the summit of the standing with Comoros after four matches in Group I.
Speaking to Citi FM, the former Ghana U20 tactician expressed the Black Stars is weel-positioned to secure qualification to the biggest soccer mundial next year.
“We have a lot of work to do we but I think we’re in a good position to qualify the team for the World Cup and everybody’s hungry and we have a new head of video analyst, we have a psychologist or sports mental coach as you want to call it, so I feel like everybody’s hungry to make sure that we qualify to the WORLD CUP” he said.
The Black Stars will resume for the continuation of the 2026 World Cup qualification in March 2025.
