Ghana lost to Comoros by a goal to nil at the Moroni Stadium in their second 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening.
The Black Stars conceded a poor goal toward the end of the first half to lose away from home, failing to grab the opportunity to top Group I after the first two qualifying matches.
Here’s how we rated each player out of 10:
Richard Ofori â 4
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper made some decent saves and could not do much to stop the goal because the defenders didn’t make any effort to stop Maolida.
Denis Odoi â 3.5
The veteran defender was exposed to some serious one-on-one battles and did well to make sure there was no danger and dealt some counter attacks.
Gideon Mensah â 3.5
Put up an average performance and attempted some late crosses when Ghana was chasing the game.
Kasim Adams â 4
Made a vital goal-bound clearance and was decent throughout the game, but didn’t rush out to try stopping the scorer.
Nicholas Opoku â 3
The Amiens center-back was complicit in Ghana conceding the goal as they looked on without making an attempt to stop the attacker.
Salis Abdul Samed â 3
Failed again together with Baba Idrissu to hold down the midfield for Ghana.
Baba Idrissu â 3
Followed the goal scorer from the moment he picked up the ball around 25 yards out until he entered the box and made the shot.
Andre Ayew â 2.5
Could not affect the game at all and was rightfully taken off at half time.
Inaki Williams â 3
Missed the target with at least two clear goal-scoring opportunities.
Antoine Semenyo â 3
Failed to hit the target from point blank range very early into the game. Scoring could have changed everything.
Jordan Ayew â 4
Was one player who could hold down the ball for Ghana and do something. Like the Madagascar game, his set pieces and crosses were decent.
Substitutes
Mohammed Kudus â 4
Tried his best to get the ball to the opposition box when he came on and tried a few shots but couldn’t rescue Ghana.

Made some driving runs as usual but couldn’t make an impact like tha Madagascar game.
Ernest Nuamah â 3
Played with some sense of urgency and got the ball into the back of the net but fouled the goalie in the process.
