30 storm Ghana FA to protest against Budu in RFA elections

Persons numbering about 30 staged a mini demonstration at the premises of the Ghana FA to register their displeasure with the conduct of elections in the Eastern Regional Football Association.

The demonstrators, claiming to hail from the Eastern Regional, are calling for the immediate disqualification of Nana Budu who will be contesting incumbent Lawal Abdul Ganiyu for the Ghana FA Executive Committee Member slot.

Without giving details, the protesters believe Lawal is the only fit candidate to head the Eastern Regional Football Association and that Nana Budu is using foul means to stall the election process which will lead to his defeat.

The demonstrators spotting red arm and headbands presented an officially written protest which was received by Ghana FA vice Jordan Anagblah who had to step out of an Ex.Co meeting to attend to the protesters.

The election of the RFA boss in Eastern Region has stalled due to back and forth legal tussles over the eligibility or otherwise of both the incumbent and his competitor.

The process seemed to be back on track after the Ghana FA ruled that both candidates are fit to stand elections until Wednesday’s setback.

The GFA has promised to respond to their request within 48 hours.
