Talented teenager, Abdul Aziz Issah has been named male Footballer of the Year at the 49th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) awards.
The prodigy currently on loan at Barça Atlètic, the youth team of FC Barcelona beat competition from Emmanuel Keyekeh and Stephen Amankona to win the prestigious award on Friday night.
In the year under review, Abdul Aziz Issah starred for Dreams FC in not just the Ghana Premier League but in the CAF Confederation Cup.
His dazzling exploits saw him being named among the standout youngsters in last year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Issah's stellar performance includes scoring four goals and providing two assists, helping Dreams FC reach the semi-finals.
His achievements placed him alongside other young talents like Super United's Shandre Campbell, Lassine Kouma of Stade Malien, USM Alger's Abdoulaye Kanou, and Rivers United's Alex Young Oyowah.
Beyond his club success, Issah played a pivotal role in the Black Satellites' gold medal victory at the African Games in Accra earlier this year.
The Footballer of the Year award is expected to inspire Abdul Aziz Issah to continue working hard to reach his full potential.
