Mubarak Wakaso to leave KAS Eupen at the end of the season.

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is set to return to his parent club, Shenzhen FC in the Chinese Super League at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old joined Belgian outfit, KAS Eupen on loan from Shenzhen FC in September 2022 and will see his deal end on June 30

Following the announcement of the departure of manager Edward Still, the club further revealed six players including Mubarak Wakaso who will not be at the club for next season.

While Mubarak Wakaso, Gedi Kassema, Luc Beseli, and Ibrahim Diakite return to their clubs, captain Steve Peters and  Ismail Privliyak will see their contract end as well.

Meanwhile, Wakaso has made 10 appearances in all competitions for KAS Eupen. His last appearance was a 2-1 defeat to Royale Union Saint Gilloise in March.

He has made 70 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 13 goals. He last featured for Ghana in the 2022 World Cup qualifier against South Africa but failed to make the final squad for the tournament in Qatar.
