Ghana U-17 Assistant Coach, Ntow Gyan, has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to appoint a Ghanaian to head the vacant Technical Director position.

The Ghana FA has opened up for interested candidates to apply for the job.

According to reports, the FA has received a lot of applications both domestic and abroad and are set to begin the selection process next week.

Ntow Gyan believes the next Technical Director to succeed Oti Akenteng who held the mantle for 14 years before he left the role last month should also be a Ghanaian.

“The only difference between the white is that they are sincere and honest. I will prefer a Ghanaian to be named as the next Technical Director”, he told Happy FM.

He added that the GFA should also consider poaching qualified candidates who can do the job.

“The Ghana FA must head hunt the next technical director if possible”

Some top-notch coaches on the domestic scene such as Didi Dramani, Professor Joseph Mintah and Edusei are yet to apply for the job.
