Abass Issah shines, wins penalty as FC Utrecht beat PEC Zwolle in bright start to the season

Ghanaian forward AAbass Issah produced a fantastic performance to help FC Utrecht defeat PEC Zwolle on match day two of the Dutch Eredivisie. 

The on-loan Mainz O5 player began the game and earned a penalty as the home side thumped PEC Zwolle 3-1 at the Stadion Galgenwaard.

Sander Van der Streek equalized for FC Utrecht after conceding early to Gustavo Hamer's 16th minute opener for PEC.

Two minutes after Van der Streek's leveler, Abass who has been a fox in the box for Utrecht, earned a penalty which was expertly converted by Simon Gustafson in the 49th minute.

Willem Jensen added gloss to the victory with a 73rd minute strike.

Abass Issah enjoyed 90 minutes of football before getting replaced in injury time by Rico Strieder.

The ex-Ghana U-17 star also impressed on his Eredivisie debut when he climbed off the bench to help FC Utrecht staged a remarkable comeback 4-2 victory over Ado Den Haag.
