Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed has named teammate and centre-back partner Abdul Ganiu as his best player of the season.
“Abdul Ganiu is my best player of the season in our team (Kotoko). He was injured and stayed home for almost a year, but his performance after his return was wonderful.
“When I'm paired with any central defender, I feel ok but Abdul Ganiu is the one I feel very good to be paired with,” Habib said.
Their partnership helped Kotoko to a second-place finish in the Ghana Premier League and the quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup.
Ganiu's impressive performances saw him receive debut call-up to the Black Stars and featured in the team's last two games in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He has been linked with a move to Kotoko's nemesis Hearts of Oak.
