AshantiGold SC midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila has assured fans he is staying at the club amid links of a move away from the club with his current contract nearing expiration.

Reports in the local media suggest the lanky midfielder is close to joining Asante Kotoko SC with personal terms already agreed.

Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu is believed to be an admirer of the talented midfielder and is interested in adding him to his squad.

Anabila was part of Konadu's team that finished as runners-up at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal.

However, the 2017 Ghana Premier League discovery of the year winner claims he is going nowhere.

"AshantiGold supporters should stay calm because I am not going anywhere. My contract will soon expire but I have been approached by the president of the club for a renewal." he told OTEC FM in Kumasi.

The 22-year-old also confirmed he is in negotiations with the Miners over contract extension.

"I am in negotiations with the team's management for a possible stay." added.
