Abednego Tetteh calls on Hearts fans to forget Joseph Esso's exit

New Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh is urging fans of the club to forget about the departure of forward Josep Esso.

Tetteh who is yet to make his debut for the Phobians since joining the club in the second transfer window, believes Esso's departure is an opportunity for someone to shine.

Fans of the Rainbow club were shocked when the club announced they have parted ways with the former Dwarfs attacker, with some fans working on getting the striker back.

“Whatever happens, is good. At times we don’t understand why certain things happen in this world. Esso is not a child, he’s a grown-up and knows what is good for him. If he feels like playing for Hearts again, that’s good or travelling abroad, is also fine, to him. We all hope to progress in life,” he told Hello FM.

“I think we should all forget about the issue. We would call him to come and play if he dies. We should take it like we have lost something that we’ll not get again and focus on the league when football returns.

“No one can dispute Esso’s talent. I have a not played with him before, I have only watched him and I must say he is a good player. His presence could help win the league or lose it as well.

“We will discover someone in his absence. It’s an opportunity for someone too. No one knew Daniel Afriyie before the truncated league began. There are others who don’t get a chance to play because of Esso.

“If he had left while the league was ongoing, then there would be loopholes but since we’re not playing at the moment, the coach has the opportunity to replace him before the league starts,” he concluded.
