Abednego Tetteh scored the only goal as Hearts of Oak beat Ghana Premier League rivals Elmina Sharks in a pre-season friendly on Thursday morning.
The striker scored in the 35th minute via the penalty spot.
The win is a good response after their shocking performance against Proud United on Wednesday.
Hearts took a commanding two-nil lead but they second-tier recovered to snatch a point in the preparatory match.
The Phobians have been training in Central Region ahead of the new season.
They will open their account against Aduana Stars on November 14 in Dormaa.
