Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara remains optimistic about his team's title chances despite their recent struggles in the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking after their 1-0 defeat to Bechem United at Nana Gyeabour Park on Wednesday, Ouattara dismissed suggestions that the Phobians are out of the title race.

Kofi Tompuo’s goal in the 52nd minute handed Hearts of Oak their second consecutive league loss after they were beaten at home by Dreams FC last Saturday. The defeat has pushed them out of the top four, leaving them four points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.

Despite this setback, Ouattara believes his team can still turn things around.

''Go and look at the table, and you make your full opinion. In the league, we have 12 matches, and 12 matches is 36 points. It's a league. Let's us finish the league. On 8th June we shall talk about the league.''

Hearts of Oak controlled possession for large portions of the match but struggled to create clear chances.

Bechem United, on the other hand, made the most of their attacking opportunities, with Tompuo’s strike proving decisive.
