AC Milan and Roma monitoring River Plate full-back

Published on: 28 December 2015

Italian giants AC Milan and Roma are interested in signing River Plate defender Leonel Vangioni.

The 28-year-old Argentine full-back can also play further up the pitch as a winger and has made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions for Los Millonarios this season, proving how important he is for them.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Rossoneri and Giallorossi are interested in acquiring the services of the player who is looking to make a move to a top European club after spending the whole of his career in the Argentine Primera Division.

Vangioni’s contract runs out in June 2016 and he has rejected a number of contract offers from River Plate which could force the club to sell during the January transfer window.

Torino and Udinese are also monitoring Vangioni’s situation.
