AC MILAN : Bacca out Lapadula in

Published on: 16 September 2016

Sky Sport Italia reveals that AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella will drop Colombian striker Carlos Bacca in favour of Gianluca Lapadula for tomorrow's Serie A away game against Sampdoria.

The 30-year old came short of exerting his influence on the last two matches against Napoli and Udinese after his terrific debut against Torino when he scored a hattrick.

On the other hand, Lapadula's heroics at Pescara in Serie B last term were pivotal for the Abbruzzi's promotion.

The 26-year old made his Serie A debut for Milan against Udinese last weekend after replacing Andrea Poli in the 86th minute.

Montella hopes that Lapa can reproduce the magic of last term and help condemn the Blucerchiati  to their second consecutive defeat after their controversial one in Rome last weekend.

That said, there must be a reason why he is labelled the Italian Jamie Vardy.

Will he replicate the Englishman's meteoric rise and score a bagful of goals in the top division after his 62 strikes in three seasons in the second and third tier ?

Milan hope so as they find themselves in disarray.

Tomorrow evening, the North Italians urgently need his goals to bounce back from a miserable start to an already compromised season.
