AC Milan boss adamant side deserved more against Udinese

AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic believes his side should definitely have won after a 1-1 draw with Udinese.

Pablo Armero scored for the Zebrette but M’Baye Niang levelled only for the Rossoneri to squander a catalogue of chances.

“We should have won today, it was a great chance to close the gap to those above us,” Mihajlovic told Premium Sport.

“I am pleased with the players, we did deserve to win today and we lacked a bit of luck but we kept fighting until the final whistle.

“We conceded from their only shot on goal, but in the second half it seemed impossible not to win, but sadly it didn’t happen.

“The performance on the field was good.”

Goalscorer M’Baye Niang and midfielder Juraj Kucka were both substituted with concerns raised over their fitness.

“The substitutions were forced, Kucka and Niang suffered muscular problems,” Mihajlovic added.

“We certainly deserved to win this game, but with performances like this we will be fine.”
