AC Milan in Benfica talks for midfield ace Axel Witsel

AC Milan are moving for Benfica midfield ace Axel Witsel.

O Jogo says Milan have approached Benfica about the Belgium international's availability.

Witsel is aware of the Rossoneri's interest and has asked his camp about their seriousness.

His father, Thierry, has fielded contact from Milan intermediaries and knows the Rossoneri see his son as a key addition to a midfield which will lose Rino Gattuso, Mark van Bommel and Clarence Seedorf this summer.

Real Madrid and PSG are also interested in the 23 year-old, who only joined Benfica last summer from Standard Liege.

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is demanding €35 million to sell Witsel - €5 million less than his contract's buyout clause.
