AC Milan keen on forgotten Inter defender

AC Milan are apparently keen on signing Inter‘s forgotten man Nemanja Vidic.

Serbian Vidic is yet to make a single appearance for the Nerazzurri this season and is widely expected to terminate his contract with the club next month, opening the door for a potential switch to city rivals AC Milan.

According to CalcioMercato.it, AC Milan would be open to signing Vidic as a cost-effective way of adding more depth to their backline.

Rossoneri coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is looking to turn his side’s fortunes around this season, as they currently sit sixth in the Serie A table after spending a significant amount in the summer.

Vidic would bring a wealth of experience, having won the Champions League in 2008 and 13 further trophies during his time at previous club Manchester United in England.

He made 23 appearances for Inter last season, but was dropped in favour of younger talent by coach Roberto Mancini.
