AC Milan player ratings: Piatek back amongst goals to rekindle Champions League hopes

Published on: 19 May 2019

AC Milan kept up the chase for Champions League qualification with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Frosinone at the Stadio San Siro in Serie A on Sunday.

The Rossoneri were made to sweat after a sluggish start and had goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to thank for keeping out a Camillo Ciano penalty.

However, that save seems to invigorate the hosts and they took the lead early in the second half through Krzysztof Piatek, who netted for the first time in over a month.

The result was sealed soon after through a fine Suso freekick, as Milan move level with Atalanta and a point behind Inter, who occupy the final two Champions League qualification spots respectively.
